Stages to be Checked

There are a number of clearly defined stages in the construction of certain types of falsework when formal checks are desirable. 

It is recommended that the  need for a formal check is considered when: 

1. the proposed founding level for the falsework, be  it at or below  ground level, is first exposed. 
2. falsework has  attained  a height equal to  1.5 times  the  maximum of its plan area dimensions  subject to an absolute maximum of 15 m. 
3. Falsework reaches its direct support level for formwork or the application of manufactured units. 
4. Immediately prior to loads being applied. 

An experienced team of supervisors and carpenters should be detailed to watch  the behavior of falsework during  application of loads like during concreting. Thus it can be seen that formwork forms a very critical part of a construction and as a supervisor you must give deep thought in its design and construction.
