Suggestions for Effective Decision Making

• Try to avoid decision-making in emergency. Try to anticipate the problem and take decision before it becomes a situation of emergency. 
• Decision making is likely to be influenced by attitudes, values, feelings and social  political ideology of decision maker. Managers should try to reduce the effect of such variables. 
• Do not expect to be right all the time because a manager may have to take a number of decisions in company. Theoretically errors in decision-making are possible. However, managers try to minimise errors in decision making. It may happen that some of your decisions may be incorrect when implemented. 
• Decision should be viewed as means to particular goal rather than an end in itself.
